[Preparation] Christmas Celebration

I guess the rain is staying on stubbornly till late today. I woke up at 9.45am thinking that it’s still 6.30am, so u can imagine how dark the sky was in the morning. Friends are coming over to my house later in the evening for an early X’mas celebration, and here i am, still lazing in bed. I haven’t really prepared anything for them though. [Uh-hem]

Well, i don’t wished to be labelled as a poor host, so i decided to pull myself together and plan for ingredient shopping during lunch. I’ve never cooked a complete meal for outsiders formally so i really hope everything will turn up well later.

Bought a few ingredients from Compass Point just now:

1. Tiger Prawns
2. Bean curd for soup
3. Fresh fish balls
4. Teriyaki chicken (Marinated but uncooked)

Mum sponsored a few of the following yesterday:

1. Garlic
2. Tomatoes
3. Eggs
4. Frozen fish pieces

Will start to cook at 5pm while friends will start to ‘pour’ in at 5.30pm. Watch this blog for photos on what i had cooked! ^__~~

My food list

Guests will be coming to my new home tomorrow afternoon. After doing some brain-storming with hubbie on the food list for tomorrow’s dinner, I have decided to cook the following in my own style. I haven’t been cooking for months so just hope the food are edible

Menu

Soup of the day: Mixture of Cabbage, Fishball, soft white bean curd

Dish 1: 6 fried eggs

Dish 2: Stir Fry chicken with bean curd

Dish 3: 8 Oven baked fish (Golden brown)

Dish 4: Fresh cut up tomatoes

I guess the above list should be enough.

Christmas

Christmas is just round the corner. This year, we are going to do something different – We are going to invite friends to our new home for a simple Christmas celebration! Sunday is the day and we are both pretty anxious and excited about it. Why anxious?

Some preparations need to be done:

1. Prepare food receipes (Never really cooked a formal meal in my life)

2. Buy ingredients

3. Sought the master out (My mum)

4. Clean up the kitchen, living room and most importantly — the toilet
